As the year of 2023 ends, we have a lot that has happened in the aviation industry. This short “Bite” will recap all of the key moments in aviation history from 2023.
The first thing we have for 2023 the Norse Airways Boeing 787 landing on an ice airstrip. This is the largest aircraft in Antartica as of 2023. This is a record making flight.
The second event that we have is Air India’s first A350. Air India’s A350 has the airlines new livery. This makes history for Air India.
Staying on the topic of India, IndiGo placed the largest A320 order. This sets a record for IndiGo and the largest order as of 2023.
Next up we have the C919’s Maiden Flight. This is the company Comac’s first aircraft to be delivered. It sets the record for China Eastern to be the first operator of the jet.
Finally for this last major event, we have the final 747 delivery. This marks the end of an era and is a little bit sad. Boeing will no longer produce the 747.
The new year of 2024 is approaching and 2023 is fading away. This was an amazing year of aviation and I hope 2024 brings in some more big milestones.
