A company from china is making a “reusable rocket” but it looks very familiar to starship. How will SpaceX handle them, and will they succeed?
Cosmoleap is a Chinese startup that is working on a reusable rocket design. They used SpaceX’s mechazilla design to catch their booster and spaceship. The booster also has very similar specs to those of starship’s superheavy booster. They hope to send people to Mars as well. This is the exact same reason that SpaceX is building starship.
They also copied the actual starship upper stage as well. They just changed one thing, the landing legs. This is an exact duplicate of starship. In the showcase video, they used the Starlink Version 1 satellite. The video was not copyrighted by SpaceX. The company has secured funding from the government. The government is giving them 14 million U.S Dollars to prototype the spacecraft.
What is next for this company and what can it do to SpaceX. Will they succeed or will this whole project be a flop. SpaceX has not said anything yet, but I am sure that they will do something.
